Liza B. Lamis, avowed and evolving gender justice advocate, feminist theologian and ecumenical formator, is also a wanderlust who loves writing about women and their lives. She holds an MA in Religious Studies and a Doctor of Ministry, both in feminist theology. Her current Joy Of Being or JOB is as Executive Secretary of the International Committee for the Fellowship of the Least Coin (ICFLC), while also part-time teaching feminism and feminist theology in seminaries.

Rev. David P. Pascua was former President of Southern Philippines Methodist Colleges, Inc. in Kidapawan City. He also served in local churches in the Davao Episcopal Area of The United Methodist Church for most of his pastoral career. He graduated his MDiv from Union Theological Seminary, his Doctor of Ministry from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, DC, and his Doctor of Theology from SEAGST-ATESEA Theological Union. He is a General Board of Global Ministries Missionary.
Dr. David P. Pascua envisions Methodist congregations to become rerooted in their heritage of theology, ministry, and mission. For this to happen, the local churches must do ministry following Wesley’s theory of ministry, that is, an emphasis and focus in the teaching of church doctrines, the development of Christian discipline, and to encourage Methodists to embrace Wesley’s Christian spiritual practices for day to day living. As Wesley defined it, sanctification is the binding thread of its mission and ministry. This is the church’s calling, the rationale for its organization, and its vision of life with God. Study materials are produced for this end through the Wesley Studies and Resource Center and make them available to local congregations desiring to launch into this long term movement for church renewal. Dr. Dave provides leadership in writing these study materials but support for this project has been available from other professors.
He is presently convening the Center for Wesleyan Studies at Union Theological Seminary. He teaches Methodist Doctrine and Denominational Theologies in the residential programs and is a Professor in the Doctor of Ministry Program.

Melanio L. Aoanan is an Ordained UCCP Minister and a retired Theology Professor. He taught at Southern Christian College, Silliman University, Union Theological Seminary, Dasmarinas, Cavite; De La Salle University, Manila, Brokenshire College Pag-asa School of Theology and Koinonia Theological Seminary, both in Davao City. He was Administrative Pastor at Church Among the Palms at UPLB, Laguna, Philippines. He was elected 5th President of Southern Christian College (2007-2010). Presently, he is Adjunct Professor at Union Theological Seminary teaching M.Theol. and D. Min. students.
Dr. Aoanan has authored eight (8) books and scholarly articles in national and international journals. His dissertation was written in Pilipino (Pagkakaisa at Pagbabago: Ang Patotoo ng United Church of Christ in the Philippines, New Day Publishers, 1996), which was subsequently updated in English, Ecumenical and Prophetic: The Witness of the United Church of Christ in the Philippines, Claretian Publications, 1998. He is member of the Program for Theology and Culture in Asia (PTCA) Research Team whose three-volume work (Asian Christian Theologies) was published in 2004. He is an active member of the Ecumenical Association of Third World Theologians (EATWOT). He is the Founding President, United Senior Citizens Association, Elenita Heights Subd., Catalunan Grande, Davao City.

Bishop Sol serves in programs in Union after his retirement as a two-term Bishop of The United Methodist in the Manila Episcopal Area of the Philippine Central Conference. He served Union from 1980-1985 in various capacities: the TEE program (1980-82), as Field Education Director (1982-1985). He was reassigned to various local UMC churches in Bulacan and Metro Manila and was a missionary to Hong Kong where he organized the Union’s TEE program that graduated 15 students. He returned to Union as Bishop-in-Mission and taught in the area of Ecumenics, Social Ethics, and Church Ministries.
As a Bishop of UMC, he was President of the General Commission on Archives and History based in Drew University, Madison, NJ., for four years. He was the first Central Conference Bishop to be a member of the Connectional Table of UMC, the visioning and missioning arm of the global church. He was the co-chair of the Ecumenical Bishops Forum (EBF) for over five years.
He obtained his DMin in Parish ministry with special studies in the Bible, at Christian Theological Seminary, in Indianapolis, IN. He is presently a member of the UMC Council of Bishops’ Committee on Peace and Reconciliation. He is Chairman of the Board of Ibon Foundation, an independent group that analyzes and interprets government performance and data and its impact on socio-political and economic life of the Filipino masses. He co-chairs the Center for Ecumenics, Justice and Peace at Union.
Weon Sik Yi

Weon Sik Yi is a missionary from Korean Methodist Church to the United Methodist Church in the Philippines (UMC-P) since 1986. Since then, he coordinated the scholarship funds for the Native Leadership Program, and 350 pastors were the beneficiaries approximately from UTS, Wesley Divinity School, Southern Philippines Methodist College, Harris Memorial College, and also doing Local Pastors Training Program. He also supported 270 local churches and constructed about 100 church buildings. He studied in UTS with D/Min Program, Doctor of Missiology in Wesley Divinity School, and Asia Studies in UP Diliman. As an instructor for Missiology, his focuses are on globalization, urbanization for megacities, and sharing Gospel with loving concern.
